Pertaining to Juniors to Masters Chess Academy Tournaments and Events:

1. Players must abide by our Juniors to Masters Chess Academy Fair Play Agreement.

2. Players must have an established online chess account which includes, but is not limited to, having played a minimum 25 rapid games (not blitz) and being opened for 3+ months.

3. Players must disclose if they have ever had their online chess account closed due to fair play policy and the details surrounding the closure.

4. Exceptions are made on a case by case basis and at the sole discretion of the Directors of Juniors to Masters Inc.

5. Right of Refusal.
We reserve the right to deny any event or tournament applicant admission into any event or tournament. Juniors to Masters is not required to provide a reason as to why they have denied admission of an applicant into an event or tournament.

Pertaining to Juniors to Masters Chess Academy Training Program and Suggestions for your chess success with our JtM Program:

1a. Do the Homework:
a. After each group lesson, download the Student files, the homework, and review the Master Lecture games.
b. Note that JtM Students will need ChessBase software or some other method to read PGN files.
c. Skype video recordings of the Master Lectures are also available for JtM Students to review.

1b. The Homework Includes:
a. Annotate their training games.
b. Provide solutions to the homework problems.
c. Review the Master Lecture games from the uploaded.

2. Regularly Check Email and Skype Group Chat for Updates:
a. Please do pay attention to your emails AND also check the Skype Group Chat for any updates including important files being uploaded for JtM Students to download and review.
- This is our way of quickly reaching out to the groups with important information and files.

3. Email completed homework, preferably in PGN format, to: jtmchessacademy@gmail.com
a. Deadline: Send in homework by Wednesday.

4. Participate During the Master Lectures:
a. JtM Students are encouraged to ask questions and offer their solutions when the Master Lecturer asks the group what they think about a certain position.
b. Better answers include concrete moves and then stating whether it is Black or White who is better.
c. Be prepared to defend your solution when the Master Lecturer "challenges" your answer. If you practice defending your ideas, you will be the stronger for it when you play in tournaments against real opponents who will be "challenging" your plan of attack.

5. Be Respectful, Have Integrity, No Cheating, No Use of Coarse Language. 
a. Always be respectful of the JtM Master Lecturers, the JtM Students, the JtM In House Masters, and JtM Administrator.
b. JtM expects no less than good sportsmanship, respectful behavior, high integrity, and no use of coarse language in all interactions during the Master Lectures, in the training games, in our JtM Special Events on chess.com, lichess.org, and elsewhere, in our email correspondence, in the group chats, etc.
c. JtM Students are not allowed to use any help when playing in the JtM training games, in our JtM Special Events on chess.com, lichess.org, and elsewhere, like in any other online chess or over-the-board chess, and tournaments.
d. We expect our JtM Students to conduct themselves with the utmost integrity. Cheating and bad behavior will not be tolerated and may result in expulsion from the JtM Program.

6. Inform JtM on any Upcoming Absenteeism
a. JtM Students must inform JtM about any upcoming group training sessions that they will be missing as it will affect the rest of the group in terms of the training game pairings.
- Leave message on Skype Group Chat.
b. JtM Students can review Skype video recordings of the Master Lectures to avoid missing any of the great learning.
c. JtM Students can play the chess.com computer any missed training games from a set position.

8. Refunds.
a. JtM will provide full refunds up until 1 week before the first day of group training if we receive a request for refund in writing.
b. JtM will provide refunds less $50 administration fee within 6 days before the first day of group training if we receive a request for refund in writing.
c. No refunds after the first day of group training.
