International Junior Team League U2100 Champions

Players from across Canada, Romania, and Denmark competed on a weekly basis in rapid team matches in a 4 Players vs. 4 Players format in the International Junior Team League Championships. The U2100 Section (based on average team rating) recently concluded.

Congratulations to the JtM Noble Knights Team of Noah Nathaniel Yuen, Andrei-Cristian Secrieru, Anni Guo, and Alf Andries for winning the International Junior Team League U2100 Championship with in impressive 5/6 team match points! 

Congratulations to the JtM Relentless Rooks Team of NCM Neil Doknjas, Rafael Adam, Carina D'Souza, and Joshua Imoo for winning 2nd Place with 3.5/6 team match points!

Special shout out to NM Henry Zhang who racked up a blistering 5.5pts/6 games on Board 1! 

Both JtM Noble Knights Team and the JtM Relentless Rooks Team win the Prize of being invited to play in a 1 hour Team Battle (3+2 Arena) with the other winning teams (from the U2100 and U1400 Sections) and a Team consisting of Titled Players. This special Team Battle will take place on lichess on Saturday, March 13, 2021. 

The Titled Players Team will include: GM Gergely Szabo, IM George-Catalin Ardelean, WGM Maïli-Jade Ouellet, FM Joshua Doknjas, FM John Doknjas, FM Nicholas Vettese, and NM Henry Zhang.

Juniors to Masters Chess Academy Inc. is the provider of the National Training Program for Canadian Youths, as sanctioned by the Chess Federation of Canada. Juniors to Masters Chess Inc. was founded by GM Gergely Szabo and Victoria Doknjas. GM Gergely Szabo has been Team Canada’s Head Coach at WYCC, WCCC, World U16 Youth Olympiad, and the Women’s Olympiad. Victoria has been Team Canada’s Head of Delegation at multiple WYCCs and NAYCCs.
