Report: Juniors to Masters Charity Chess Tournament – Helping the Fight Against Covid-19
Congratulations to NM Henry Zhang for winning 1st Place with a perfect score of 5/5, and to FM Eugene Hua, FM Joshua Doknjas, WGM Maili-Jade Ouellet, and Aayush Ajith for tying for 2nd Overall. And to all our 35 Players, who are all winners in their own right, we offer our heartfelt Thank You for their help in the fight against Covid-19.
Each Player, whether they are a junior or an adult, “broke into their own piggy banks” and donated directly to the charity of their choice; and we raised a cumulative $1,855 that went out to these great charities:

Juniors to Masters Chess Academy Inc. is the provider of the National Training Program for Canadian Youths, as sanctioned by the Chess Federation of Canada. Juniors to Masters Chess Academy Inc. was founded by GM Gergely Szabo and Victoria Doknjas. GM Gergely Szabo has been Team Canada’s Head Coach at WYCC, WCCC, World U16 Youth Olympiad, and the Women’s Olympiad. Victoria has been Team Canada’s Head of Delegation at multiple WYCCs and NAYCCs.
Additionally, JtM In-House Masters include published chess book authors (Everyman Chess), FM Joshua Doknjas and FM John Doknjas, as well as FM Eugene Hua and NCM Neil Doknjas.
