The International Junior Team League U1400 Champions
Several teams from Canada and Romania competed on a weekly basis in rapid team matches in a 4 Players vs. 4 Players Olympiad format in the International Junior Team League Championships. The U1400 Section (based on average team rating) recently concluded.
Congratulations to the JtM Nifty Knights Team of Zichen (Roger) Zuo, Xinge Xu, Nathan Yi-Hsin Yang, Jayden Su, and Henry (Haichen) Liu for winning the International Junior Team League U1400 Championship undefeated in all of their 5 team matches!
Congratulations to the Jumping Knight Chess Team of Shawn Jiang, Pranav Pathak, Mateo Jackson, Samuel Hoekman, and Ray Jiang for winning 2nd Place scoring 4/5 in team matches!
Congratulations to the JtM Castling Kings Team of Luca Georgescu-Nicolau, Kaitlyn Tao, Winston Huang, Drake Chen, and Shuang Chen for winning 1st Place in the Consolation Section, scoring 4/5 in team matches!
The JtM Nifty Knights Team, Jumping Knight Chess Team, and the JtM Castling Kings Team all win the Prize of being invited to play in a 1 hour Team Battle (3+2 Arena) with the other winning teams (from the U2100 and U1400 Sections) and a Team consisting of Titled Players. This special Team Battle will take place on lichess on Saturday, March 13, 2021.
The Titled Players Team will include: GM Gergely Szabo, IM George-Catalin Ardelean, WGM Maïli-Jade Ouellet, FM Joshua Doknjas, FM John Doknjas, FM Nicholas Vettese, and NM Henry Zhang.

Juniors to Masters Chess Academy Inc. is the provider of the National Training Program for Canadian Youths, as sanctioned by the Chess Federation of Canada. Juniors to Masters Chess Academy Inc. was founded by GM Gergely Szabo and Victoria Doknjas. GM Gergely Szabo has been Team Canada’s Head Coach at WYCC, WCCC, World U16 Youth Olympiad, and the Women’s Olympiad. Victoria has been Team Canada’s Head of Delegation at multiple WYCCs and NAYCCs.
Additionally, JtM In-House Masters include published chess book authors (Everyman Chess), FM Joshua Doknjas and FM John Doknjas, as well as NCM Neil Doknjas, and FM Nicholas Vettese.
